The U.S. Marine Corps Forces South (MARFORSOUTH) is a command of the United States Marine Corps responsible for conducting and coordinating all Marine Corps activities in Central America, South America, and the Caribbean. Headquartered in Doral, Florida, it works under the United States Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM) to promote regional security and stability by providing support to partner nations through training, education, and exercises, aimed at improving their capabilities to defend their borders, combat drug trafficking, and respond to natural disasters. Additionally, MARFORSOUTH provides forces to support global Marine Corps operations, and it is made up of active-duty and reserve Marines and civilian employees who uphold the Marine Corps values of honor, courage, and commitment, symbolized by their motto, "Semper Fidelis."
