Sprung from the minds of master and apprentices, Method and Madness is a whiskey that pays heed to tradition, while searching for the unordinary.
This whiskey's story began in 1988 in a bourbon barrel before curiosity got the better of us. After its 30 year start, it was refilled into this rare Mizunara cask from Japan for three years. The result, a perfect harmony of spicy pot still and perfumed oak.
Nose: coffee cake, toasted nuts, worm leather
Taste: nutmeg, vanilla, wood tannins
Finish: pot still spice, subtle fruits, fresh oak
