PIMM'S No. 1
Served at the Wimbledon tennis tournament, PIMM'S No. 1 is a gin-based liquor made in England from dry gin, liqueur, fruit juices and spices. The recipe has been a secret since 1859, and only six persons know exactly how it is made.
PIMM'S No. 1 has a dark, golden-brown color, a medium body and a taste of citrus fruits and spice. PIMM'S No. 1 is traditionally served in a cocktail known as a PIMM'S Cup, which includes 2 oz. of PIMM'S No. 1 and 6 oz. of lemon-lime soda. The PIMM'S Cup is served over ice in a tall glass, and is traditionally garnished with mint, cucumbers, orange slices, and strawberries.
